Ivette Bayo UrbanAs an educator-scholar, Ivette understands the urgency we have to bring about critical conversations regarding technology. Ivette creates and fosters strong community through partnerships, effective communication and technology. She bridges information, research, policies and best practices together to nurture racial and educational equity. Ivette is a boundary spanner adept at providing strategic leadership and vision in innovative, changing organizational environment.
ANGELINA CORTES As a professional librarian and diversity trainer, Angelina strives to integrate diversity and cultural competence into the role of public librarianship, especially in rural areas composed of underrepresented groups. Her work revolves around creating and researching resources in the areas of healthcare, homelessness, immigrant rights and digital and media literacy. She believes that the role of public libraries should be an “open for all” community driven information hub that welcomes and advocates social change in all of its services.

Stephanie TorresAs a Library & Information Science professional, Stephanie's passion lies in uplifting and empowering the voices, struggles, and knowledge of individuals and communities by building collaborative, creative, and inclusive learning spaces. She enjoys learning from stories and the life experiences of others. Stephanie believes it is in sharing our differences as individuals that we continue building understanding and [strong] communities. She is a critical listener approaching all interactions with humility, respect, and an eagerness to learn.
Mina TariAs a scholar, educator, and researcher, Mina addresses the knowledge gap for marginalized identities in technological fields. As STEM fields grow yet continue to exclude minority voices, she studies how pedagogical practices affect a sense of belonging and efficacy for women of color. She uses an interdisciplinary approach through informatics, feminist theory, culturally responsive teaching, and knowledge from non-dominant groups to create a foundation of inclusion, equity, and accessibility in higher education.
